Adding function to an existing building by building an addition can help preserve the structure and make it more relevant to your life today. This series was an addition on a 1960’s cottage. The job took place in stages over two seasons. Stage one was a seasonal covered porch. Stage two was a complete rebuild of the roof structure of the original cottage. New piers, engineered beams, engineered buttresses and a bonus loft.
